Liquid cooling for CPUs, often referred to as AIO (All-in-One) liquid coolers, is a popular cooling solution that provides efficient heat dissipation for high-performance processors. Unlike traditional air coolers that rely on heat sinks and fans, AIO liquid coolers use a closed-loop system where a pump circulates a special coolant (usually a mixture of water and additives) through tubes connected to a radiator. The radiator, typically mounted on the case’s chassis or attached to a fan mount, dissipates heat away from the CPU through convection. This setup allows for better heat transfer efficiency compared to air coolers, as liquid can carry away heat more effectively than air. AIO liquid coolers also come with fans on the radiator that further assist in cooling.
